Your room

Our “Broeks’ Bed & Brood” has a comfortable and spacious double sitting-bedroom with private bathroom. From your room you can enjoy the beautiful view of the green meadow with grazing cattle, and beautiful old farms with beautiful views.

The room is tastefully decorated with the luxury of two single box-spring beds.

The bathroom, with shower and toilet, is directly accessible from the room. “Broeks Bed & Brood” is also equipped with a TV, Wi-Fi, Senseo coffee maker, kettle, fridge and minibar.

Cancellation Policy

No pets allowed.
In our guestroom, smoking is strictly forbidden
Payment in cash, or by bank before arrival.
Check-in is possible between 16.00 and 22.30.
Departure at the latest at 11.00
The guest can cancel for free, when it’s more than 3 days before the arrival date.
The guest pays 50% of the total price if he/she cancels within 3 days before arrival.
If the guest doesn’t show up at all, he/she pays full price

The Surroundings

In the vicinity of our Bed & Breakfast is a variety of activities. There is a folder in your room with a variety of information.

For example, there are various restaurants and cafes in and around Meerkerk. There is also a bike shop where you can rent bikes. There are plenty of opportunities to view the area on foot, by bicycle or by car. Of course we can give you tips about the various options.

Opposite our house you can find ice cream farm “Middelbroeck”, where they make a very large assortment of “Artisan ice cream”. There is also a country shop where homemade cheese, jam and wine can be found.

On the terrace you can enjoy a fresh cup of coffee, while enjoying the peace and the outdoors. If you are a fishing enthusiast, you can indulge yourself at the trout fishing pond, which can be found within walking distance of the guesthouse.

‘Broeks’ Bed & Brood’ is located on the edge of the village of Meerkerk, on Broekseweg. “Broek” is a beautiful winding country road with many old farms still to be found. A road, between Meerkerk and Ameide, in the polders on the border of the Alblasserwaard and Vijfherenlanden. An area with wide rivers and beaches, windmills and fruit orchards and the Zouweboezem. The latter is a unique nature reserve with many reeds and water features and with many special birds, including the bittern and the purple heron.

During your outings, you can visit intimate verse towns such as Gorichem, Schoonhoven, Leerdam and Nieuwpoort. From Gorichem you can take the ferry to Loevestein Castle and Woudrichem, the glass city Leerdam, the smallest city in the Netherlands called Nieuwpoort, and the silver city Schoonhoven. All this can be reached via beautiful roads and roads, by car and bicycle.
